An Executive Labour Law Certificate Course
The Institute of Development and Labour Law of UCT and the Tourism & Business Institute of South Africa are pleased to offer an Executive Labour Law Certificate Course.

The Course Outline
- Purpose and function of Labour Law in the workplace.
- A framework of Industrial Legislation.
- Collective bargaining and participative decision making in the workplace.
- Dispute resolution.
- Discrimination and equity in the workplace.
- Basic conditions of employment.
The course will instill academic as well as practical knowledge of current labour law and its practices, and it can be tailor made for specific company requirements.
Who should attend
Middle and executive management, anyone involved in Human Resources, HR Directors, HR Managers and HR Staff as well as Company Law advisors, and management who are called upon to deal with any employment issues. The course is normally run over a block release of 2 weeks and will include competency assessment. Candidates will receive a Certificate in Labour Law upon completion of the course, a stylish executive leather folder containing handouts and complimentary books. The course has been successfully run for the Metrorail Executive team in the Western Cape and has been exceptionally well received.
